AT A GLANCE
A little context.
A world of possibility.
Save fewer tabs and keep the information that lets you make a decision.
Give every note a job
Use headings for decisions: where to stay, how to get there, what needs booking, and what remains unknown. Put a link under the relevant decision instead of saving an undifferentiated list of pages. Add one sentence explaining why you kept it.
Record the source
Keep the page title, URL and date you checked it. For entry rules and transport arrangements, go to the relevant authority or operator. A useful personal note might read “service timetable checked, ticket terms still to read.” It is more informative than simply marking a destination researched.
Keep suggestions apart from confirmations
Label an idea, a quotation and a paid reservation differently. A screenshot can preserve what you saw, but it does not tell you whether an arrangement is still current. Keep the original link and verify details again when you need to rely on them.
Create a departure version
Before leaving, make a concise plan containing the practical references you expect to use. Remove the dozens of possibilities you decided against. Keep sensitive documents in storage you trust, rather than in a shared planning note or a public comment.
